Back Focus Adjustment Tutorial

1.6X Extender Back Focus Adjustment Tutorial — Applicable to MARLIN Series

Note: PL-PL/PL-LPL mounts cannot be adjusted for back focus

 

Step 1: Download the "Siemens Star Test Chart" from the official website as the shooting target, and hang it in a suitable position (click here to jump

 

Step 2: Mount the extender between the lens and the camera body, set the lens aperture to T2.8, and adjust the lens focus scale to 2M.


Step 3: Align the rear part of the laser rangefinder with the focal plane of the camera body to measure the distance, rotate to loosen the focus locking ring, and adjust the back focus adjustment ring until the image is sharp and clear.


Adjustment completed, tighten the focus locking ring.


Note: While tightening, you need to hold down the back focus adjustment ring, otherwise it will cause the back focus adjustment ring to rotate along with it.
